Today it was that time again for our annual trek out to the Renaissance Festival. It was a gloriously overcast day and I was so grateful! If the sun had been out, I fear we would have cooked! Once again the Lords and Ladies (and I use those terms extremely loosely!) were entertaining us with their musical talents and hopelessly dry wit. We did get to see two of our favorite shows: The Wyld Men, and Three Guys and a Bunch of Drums. This year there was also a new group called Tartanic. It consisted of two bagpipe players, two drummers and one extremely loud mouthed front man who tried like crazy to get the crowd excited. The bagpipers were fantastic, but the show itself was lame. Jake wanted to take a ride on an elephant, but nobody else wanted to go, so he and some random girl got to go on one together. Beth and I took a ride on a carousel of sorts, and then Beth got her face painted. Anyway, we had a great day, and here are a few pictures.
