We had a fantastic time on our trip to Oceanside, California over Spring Break. We drove over Tuesday morning and stayed with Dave's brother Paul until Saturday. Tuesday afternoon we went to the pier and played in the water at the beach for a while. Wednesday we went to the Wild Animal Park. Thursday was Legoland, and Friday was just a "whatever" kind of day for driving around and going back to the beach or whatever. Paul took us to Camp Pendelton where he is stationed now so we could see the base. We also drove south to find some tide pools. Legoland has an aquarium next to it called Sea Life that we bought a park hopper ticket to, so we were able to touch some sea life in their little petting area, but at the tide pools, it was really neat to see sea stars, and sea anemones out in the ocean in their actual habitat. We were also given a crash course in the marine layer; a very thick layer of fog that rolls in at about 3pm and stays until the next day at about noon. The kids thought that was very cool! On the way home we stopped at the outlet malls and bought each of the kids a new pair of tennis shoes so it was a great vacation!

Very nice trip my friend. What are those on the side of that rock. Kind of orange?
