The year's end..

Settling into our new life has become something of a routine again.  School for the kids, the PD for Dave, and all kinds of different busy work for me.  I have to be honest, that as of yet, I am not missing teaching.  Well, that's not entirely true.  As different holidays and seasons come and go, I think of my favorite lessons I would teach and how much fun they used to be, but these last couple of years, not so much!  I've started painting again which I hadn't been able to do in years.  When we moved, my dad gave me his scroll saw so I was able to cut several pieces of wood in preparation for the winter when I knew I wouldn't be able to get out to the shop.  I'll add a couple of pics of finished projects.  The kids have just finished their first semester of school and are doing so well.  They went to the homecoming dance together with a whole group of friends.  Afterwards they all came here for a big bonfire.  It's so much fun to have kids in the house!  The holidays were quiet without family.  That was the strangest part of all.  We were invited to our friends house for Thanksgiving and it was lovely.  Christmas was just us and Santa Claus.  It gave us the opportunity to start our own traditions, however.  So now, new year, new start.  Looking forward to it.
