Jake went to Boy Scout Camp up in Payson at Camp Geronimo about two weeks ago now. He left on a Saturday and came back the following Saturday. It was his first time away from home. EVER!! (let alone for an entire week without being about to call or anything!) He had to sleep in a tent and the first two days and nights monsoon thunderstorms raged through the area and they just got pounded. It was a very overwhelming experience for him. But he lived through it with lots of stories to tell. He has an awesome jackknife that he bought in the little market up there and he's already talking about going back next year. After he got home he was out swimming with his sister and went to clean out the pool skimmer and there was a bee in there and it stung him and he was so calm and cool! He knew just what to do for it because of what he'd learned in his first aid class up at camp. I was so proud! While he was gone, however, Beth had to double up on chores.
