During the first week of March O'Connor celebrated Read Across O'Connor night. We had several guest speakers of which two of the highlights were Ron Hoon from Channel 10 Fox News and my very own SWAT commander! Ron opened the ceremony by reading a book to everyone and then everyone broke up into smaller rooms where they could listen to other guest readers. Dave read two books called "Gloria and Officer Buckle" and "Dog Breath: The Terrible Trouble with Hally Tosis". This one was my favorite because it's about a dog who catches some robbers with his bad breath. Everyone had a great night and it really helped out the school book fair which was going on at the same time. We also had Gracie, a drug dog from Dave's squad. She was a hit. Mrs. Fox, one of our third grade teachers dressed up as Dr. Seuss, and a high schooler donned the Clifford costume.
