The Last Blue and Gold

Jake is getting his Arrow of Light next month which means he will no longer be a Cub Scout. He is moving on to Boy Scouts. Last week we celebrated the last Blue and Gold Banquet by he and his dad baking one last cake together. It won the award for the highest bid which was a whopping $250! Jake's Speidel grandparents were there to do the bidding and his Hagar grandparents were there in spirit. They were actually out of town on business. In case you were wondering, the cake is supposed to depict a Pinewood Derby Race. At any rate, the cake brought in the most money, Jake got to take it home and eat it, so all is well with the world!
