I'm Back!! Whoo Hoo!

Yes, it has been a l-o-n-g time since I've written a blog, but just a couple things have happened. I started taking a class with Rio Salado this summer. EPD 220. Otherwise known as Intro to Serving English Language Learners. Otherwise known as children whose native language is one other than English. And in our neighborhood that language is Spanish. Although, as we speak, Sheriff Joe is doing his darnedest to see to that. What a mess! Anyway! I digress! My other little tidbit of news is that the Mesa Public School system, in all its wisdom has seen fit to hire me to teach Young Learners Kindergarten this coming fall at my kid's elementary school. It is a half day afternoon position and I'll be teaching the kids who missed the cutoff for Kindergarten, but who will turn 5 between September and December. I'm very excited about it, but have been a crazy person the last several weeks between the class and starting to collect Kindergarten materials and figuring out what I'm going to teach. It's just a little bit different than 4th grade, although not so different than preschool. Thank God He put me there the last 2 1/2 years! So here are a couple of pics of the kids at swim parties they've had this summer.
