October catch up!

So my garden this year was amazing!  I had so many zucchini and cucumbers I could hardly figure out what to do with them.  The zucchini were about as big as your leg too!  They were huge!  At first I was afraid I wasn't going to get any, but then I realized they were hiding under the big canopy of leaves and by the time I found several of them, they were enormous.

My cornstalks and green beans

Cucumbers, strawberries, and kale with zucchini and tomatoes in the back.

Jake's first day of college.  -sob-

I decided to try my hand at making pickles.  Never made pickles before.  I think the dill turned out pretty soggy, but Dave says the Bread and Butter pickles are delicious.

Beth's first day of junior year

Lint watching Beth leave on her first day

Beth and her good friend Darian went to the Homecoming dance with several of their friends.

I flew down to AZ on Sept. 19th to help my mom through a knee replacement surgery.  I was there for three weeks and she did amazingly well.

A mountain lion right in downtown Coeur d'Alene.  He had to be sedated and taken out of the tree.  But not before he'd helped himself to several of the neighborhood cats and dogs.
