Ready for the majors...... almost.

This early spring season, since about the last week of January, Jake has been playing baseball in a league from Central Christian Church. His coaches are friends of ours and their boys are in Jake's cub scout troop as well so we see quite a bit of them. They're great people. Anyway, he's made some significant improvements in his throwing ability! He made a pretty sweet out to first at his last game. Batting has been a little bit more difficult since they use an automatic pitching machine. Many of the boys have had difficulty getting used to that. Most, like Jake, are used to seeing the wind-up and then prepare themselves to hit the ball. With this, they get 3 beeps and out it shoots. At least it goes in the same place each time. His team is called the Reds (Cincinnati), and he looks pretty sharp in his uniform! It's been fun watching and cheering him on at his games.
